A Jensen CMM710<\/a> multimedia head unit (see Jensen manual PDF download<\/a>) replaces the original VW radio. The Monsoon amplifier, relocated from the luggage area, powers the front speakers while the Jensen handles the new Rockford Fosgate R1525X2 rear speakers with 4 ohm resistance.<\/p>\n

Verify speaker wire polarity<\/p><\/div>\n

Before bonding in the quarter panels, verify the polarity of the rear speaker wiring to the enclosures in the stepside cavity. Make sure that the connection in the rear of the enclosure matches the correct polarity of the speaker.<\/p>\n

Make a note of the wire markings for positive and negative since this must be translated to the head unit pigtail connector.<\/p>\n
