Rear spoiler motor and control module<\/p><\/div>\n

The rear spoiler doesn’t survive our Ute transformation, but its demise has a few implications that must be addressed.<\/p>\n

The spoiler moves via an electric step motor controlled with a separate, but integrated, electronic module. <\/p>\n

Spoiler operation uses different logic circuits that require speed data input:<\/p>\n

  1. if speed under 12mph \u2192 can raise manually, dash indicator blinks<\/li>\n
  2. if speed exceeds 12mph \u2192 automatically lowered if raised before<\/li>\n
  3. between 12-43mph \u2192 can raise\/lower manually in single step<\/li>\n
  4. if speed under 10mph \u2192 automatically lowered if raised before<\/li>\n
  5. if speed exceeds 45mph \u2192 automatically raised, manual switch disabled<\/li>\n
  6. if speed exceeds 85mph \u2192 sunroof automatically closed<\/li>\n
  7. if speed 0mph \u2192 can raise\/lower manually in steps<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
