Optimization of the FFR harness and integration with EFI electronics requires a number of modifications as shown in the diagram below (green lines indicate the FFR/Ron Francis harness, and red indicates the Mass-Flo EFI harness).
Wiring connections
The Roadster wiring uses different connectors to make secure, vibration-resistant and environmentally robust circuits.
Exterior lights use the WeatherPack connection system. Electrical ground connections must be carefully installed to insure continuous circuits. Dash wiring uses terminal blocks to connect various relays and gauges.
A useful precaution is to apply a dab of contact adhesive/sealant, like Automotive Goop, over terminal block and ground connections.
The sealant is clear and waterproof, and bonds to all surfaces. If necessary, the connection can still be removed and re-installed.
The sealant protects moisture corrosion and also limits the impact of vibration.
