What information do we collect from you?
When you visit SaabSonett.org, the web server collects basic user information about you that includes your ISP’s domain, the time you accessed our web site, and the pages from within our web site that you visit.
We may at times also use cookies, which are small pieces of information that a web site can store in a designated file on your computer. Cookies allow a web application to respond to you as an individual.
How do we use registration information?
After you register as a user or submit a Sonett to the Registry, we may reply to your email address to verify data you provided, or help correct errors in our database. Otherwise, we only use contact information you provide to help resolve any problems with web operations and accounts. We never sell or provide this data to third parties.
How do we protect passwords?
Passwords are always encrypted and cannot be viewed by anyone (including site administrators). Only you know your password. If you forget your password, you must reset it yourself; we cannot send you a new one.
How do we handle sensitive subscription credit card information?
All subscription credit card transactions are handled by Stripe, an international gateway that uses tokens to protect confidential data. We never receive or store your credit card number or other transaction data. A unique one-time use token is used instead. Even in the unlikely event that this token is stolen or hacked, no confidential data can be obtained by any outside party.
Is there a SaabSonett.org mailing list?
Yes. Please note that we reserve the right to send emails to you regarding SaabSonett.org at our discretion. Your email will never be released to any third party. If you do not wish to receive emails, please request that we delete your registered account.
If I register my Sonett, will I be identified as the owner?
No. Sonetts in the Registry are only identified by the location and VIN number you provide. Your name and contact information is only used to verify, if necessary, details in your Registry submission.
If I register my Sonett and upload a photo of it, will I retain rights to the image?
Control of uploaded content is always retained by the original copyright owner, if any. If you own the rights to an uploaded photo, you retain all rights. When you upload an image to us, you grant us non-exclusive use to display the image in association with Sonett Registry information.
Who is the publisher of SaabSonett.org?
SaabSonett.org content is developed and published by Kriss Motors, an independent non-commercial content provider. When you purchase a membership pass, the transaction is handled by Kriss Motors.
