Rear cabin wall

Background

Refer to the B-pillar covers and headliner/trim discussions.

Although the rear cabin wall is hardly visible at all — the front seat backs block most of it — our treatment must handle the rear speaker grille mounts, the floor rug interface, the bottom B-pillar covers in the corners, and the “shelf” transition between the aluminum wall and the fiberglass surround. As a complication, the inside wall is pockmarked with button head bolts, 80 mil butyl-based sound insulation, wiring, and overlapping aluminum plates.
