Paint

When all the bodywork is complete, the fiberglass shell and adjoining door jam seams are primed.

In most cases, the final paint is applied immediately after the primer, but we have decided to pause a while. This provides the time to double check all the functionality and to pressure test the seams. We hope small cracks DO NOT appear along critical joins like the surround corners to the quarter panels. But if they do, the repair is much easier to do when at the primer stage.

After a few weeks of hard driving, we’ll be ready for the finish paint.
