- on top of the battery in the engine compartment
- behind the driver’s dash end cap lid
- underneath the driver’s dash
- relay carrier in the protective housing on left in the engine compartment

In addition, the automatic glow period control unit J179 only for engine code BEW manufactured from June 2003 to December 2006 is located in the center of the plenum chamber.
